Business - Offset your
Carbon Footprint

Simple to understand - Carbon Neutral in 2 steps.

With you first order you will receive a Carbon Footprint certificate and a logo to place on your website or social media confirming your business is now Carbon Neutral. For every month you continue your subsection we will send you further Carbon Credit certificates.

Why Businesses are using Carbon Credits

Why Reduce CO2?

Deforestation

Forests have become extremely important as they remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and mitigate the effects of climate change in the environment. During the process of photosynthesis, atmospheric carbon dioxide is converted into sugar and cellulose; this sugar is stored in the wood, leaves and roots of trees. Trees are 50 percent carbon by weight, so growing trees can help in reducing greenhouse effect.

Oxygen & Nitrogen

Oxygen and nitrogen don’t interfere with infrared waves in the atmosphere. That’s because molecules are picky about the range of wavelengths that they interact with, For example, oxygen and nitrogen absorb energy that has tightly packed wavelengths of around 200 nanometers or less, whereas infrared energy travels at wider and lazier wavelengths of 700 to 1,000,000 nanometers.

Sunlight

When sunlight reaches Earth, the surface absorbs some of the light’s energy and reradiates it as infrared waves, which we feel as heat. (Hold your hand over a dark rock on a warm sunny day and you can feel this phenomenon for yourself.) These infrared waves travel up into the atmosphere and will escape back into space if unimpeded.

Carbon Dioxide

Carbon Dioxide (CO2), for example, absorbs energy at a variety of wavelengths between 2,000 and 15,000 nanometers — a range that overlaps with that of infrared energy. As CO2 soaks up this infrared energy, it vibrates and re-emits the infrared energy back in all directions. About half of that energy goes out into space, and about half of it returns to Earth as heat, contributing to the ‘greenhouse effect.’

Climate Change Mitigation

By offsetting your carbon footprint, you contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating the effects of climate change.

Personal Responsibility

Carbon offsetting allows individuals to take responsibility for their own carbon emissions and make a positive impact on the environment.

Carbon Neutrality for Businesses

Companies can use carbon offsetting to achieve carbon neutrality, enhancing their reputation, meeting sustainability goals, and attracting environmentally conscious customers. However its worth remembering that its the individuals within the business who will drive the change no the business itself.

The Actions YOU Take Can Make a Real Difference to People’s Lives

How We Help

Sustainability Leadership

Joining a carbon offsetting community demonstrates your commitment to sustainability and can inspire others to take similar actions.

Positive Social Impact

Many carbon offset projects also have social co-benefits, such as improving local communities' access to clean energy, providing employment opportunities, or supporting sustainable development.

Environmental Education

Carbon offsetting programs often provide educational resources and information about climate change, helping individuals better understand the impact of their actions and make informed choices.

Access to Verified Projects

Reputable carbon offset providers like Simple Carbon ensure that projects they support meet rigorous standards and are independently verified, ensuring the effectiveness and integrity of carbon offsetting efforts.

Flexible Options

Carbon offset programs usually offer a range of options, allowing individuals to choose projects aligned with their values or support specific sectors like renewable energy, reforestation, or methane capture.

Environmental Conservation

By supporting carbon offset projects, you contribute to the preservation and restoration of forests, wetlands, and other ecosystems that play a vital role in carbon sequestration.

Encouraging Innovation

By supporting carbon offset projects financially, you contribute to the development and implementation of innovative technologies and practices that can further reduce carbon emissions in the future.

Offsetting Program

It's important to note that when considering any carbon offsetting program, you should research the specific details, credibility, and impact of the organisation and projects involved.
